The Brazilian Elise Cristine Penedo, also known as E.lise,
was born in Vitoria, city located in the state of Espirito Santo. Her first contact with music came through dance, classical ballet and rhythmic gymnastic, that she had practiced during fifteen years. She chose the musics for the choreographies, and the tracks went from classical style, to electronic. She also mixed them, by this way learning the musical phrases. Besides the musical knowledge, all these years brought her experience and sensibility to handle the public.
Always liked the nightlife and soon she became an admirer of electronic music. In 2002, when she got in contact with Psychedelic Trance, she got interested on the producers and on the sound. In 2004, after a while going to parties, she got to know people who frequent those parties and she started to play professionally spinning in small partys new her hometown. At the same year made togheter with 4 friends the “Casa da India Crew” this one was going to became one of the most importants crews for the development of the psytrance scene over that place. Togheter they organized partys and made the Casa da India Portal, on the internet (www. casadaindia. art. br), such a big iniciative at that moment, bringing concept and information for the new scene that was growing slowly over there.
In a short space of time, she started to play over other citys around the country. Now, living in Sao Paulo, she takes part of the Touch Sky/Water Republic agency casting (www. touchsky. com. br) and became resident of the Shivaya’s and E-qualizer’s partys (www. e-qualizer. art. br).
Her dj sets flow from electro house till tech house, with lots of “minimal” influences.
Since 2006 she has been working on her own music and having piano and music classes. Also already made musics in partnership with Freakulizer, Zee-la, Monk Ponk and Dj Victor Kill! Wait for news soon!
